There are imposters who have sought out many to extort money from. I have seen many, masquerading as priests of Ifa, pursuing the inept under the guise of imaginary curses, and those who are ignorant of their own power are being duped into spending money with these supposed practitioners, trying to gain protection, healing, and deliverance.
Those familiar with the traditions of our Yoruba ancestors, and the true lifestyle of Ifa know that no Babalawo seeks out initiates. I have returned to several the predatory energy that have approached me with. These people are no different than the founders of the Judeo-Christian traditions, except instead of pushing a fear of a future hell, they preach of evils that will befall you now. Remember beloved, you are creating your reality. No one outside of you has any power to curse you. If you are cursed, it is of your own doing, just as your healing will be.
There are so many in the earth seeking to capitalize on this new affinity for the ancient paths, and they are propagating fear to gain subjects. I understand many desire to do things differently, but beware of those who exhibit a desire to create a codependency in you that you are unable to weld your own power to correct any area of your life that is out of alignment. Any true spiritual practitioner will seek to empower you to perfectly love yourself as you are. That perfect love casts out all fear. Anyone who bases their practices on sparking fright in you is existing beneath the fifth dimension, and you don’t want to be giving all your money or energy to any entity beneath the heavenly dimensions. As you do, you only keep yourself bound to this temporal realm.
