If we would really take the time to meditate on it, freedom of choice is not as common as free-will is. Free-will is the ability to do as you please. As autonomous sentient beings, we all have free-will. Freedom of choice, though, is almost a fallacy in this society.
Pretty much all of our choices are influenced by someone or something outside of ourselves. This is the greatest form of limitation upon us as a species. We must dare to act exclusively upon the inspiration of our own Souls. Sadly, nearly everyone of our behaviors and preferences is a reaction to some form of government. We are usually either rebelling against or conforming to some standard set by someone other than our own I AM God/dess presence.
We give too much power to the opinions of others, and this is an insidious form of fear. We are usually either fearful of becoming conformists or fearful of being outcasts. The rebel betrays his own Soul by doing things just to prove he cannot be controlled by others. He expresses himself as confident, when in reality he is the exact opposite. He fights to stand out, and it is inauthentic.
The conformist betrays her own Soul by refusing to do what makes her I AM Goddess presence happy just to be accepted by some group. She cannot discern between laws and rules. She follows rules because someone else told her it is right, though her Soul is tormented continually.
When we truly begin to love ourselves, we are neither rebels nor conformists. We just simply are. We don’t even give any energy to the perceptions and opinions of others, because perfect love has set us free. When we see an article of clothing or a piece of jewelry our Soul likes, we purchase and it and wear it, without regard for others’ inability to accept it as fitting. The same should be true for our homes, our vehicles, and our toys. If we are doing no harm to others in our actions, we MUST be free to be happy.
