If you are looking for the savior of the world, search no farther than the nearest mirror. The culture isn’t changed by your elections, emotions, or evangelism. The world is healed by your example. As it is written, a chain is only as strong as its weakest link. Each link compromising our world is accountable for its own strength through Self-mastery.
Nothing weakens the individual quite like distractions. This is why we are taught, from our infancy, to focus our studies on everything else around us instead of knowledge of Self. When we are attached to what is going on in the world, we lower our own vibrations, and we forget our own power.
Our significance is in our authenticity, so we strengthen ourselves by our commitment to Self-discipline. Anger, sadness, and depression enslave you while Self-LOVE liberates you. The choice is entirely yours whether to be a slave to the world or a Master of Self, but you cannot be both.
To be a Master of Self you must be unbothered by what is attempting to infiltrate your heart and mind. The same resolve with which you set boundaries with the other people around you who kill your vibe must be applied to the situations of this world.
Righteousness, peace, and joy are the Kingdom of God, which is wholly inherent. You are not going to enter into the Kingdom proselytizing to the world concerning all that you perceive as wrong with it. You enter the Kingdom by repentance- that is turning your attention away from the world and its influence, and back to the Set-apart Influence within.
There is a parable, attributed to the Essene Master about the Kingdom of God.:
Then said he, Unto what is the kingdom of God like? and whereunto shall I resemble it? It is like a grain of mustard seed, which a man took, and cast into his garden; and it grew, and waxed a great tree; and the fowls of the air lodged in the branches of it. And again he said, Whereunto shall I liken the kingdom of God? It is like leaven, which a woman took and hid in three measures of meal, till the whole was leavened.
Though the church would have you believe this is talking about a commission to preach the message of Christianity. However, it has nothing whatsoever to do with preaching. Yeast, or leaven, is an agent of fermentation. Whatever active yeast is added into expands. So, the principle here is simply that of consistently being your true Self in the midst of a world that needs to be lifted. Yeast is a change agent, but it doesn’t change the environment it is added to by focusing on the environment. In fact, it pays no attention at all to the environment it is placed into. The leaven hides in the midst of the environment, as it is, and causes its presence to be known in how the environment rises with it.
Each of us is a type of leaven inherently. However, when leaven is agitated, as any true baker will tell you, it is deactivated, and loses its power to change the environment it is in. Instead, the environment changes the leaven, and the leaven becomes just as deflated as the environment already is before it was added to the environment.

If you want your “bread” to rise, you must choose accountability. You cannot allow yourself to become a product of your environment. To give your attention to what causes you discomfort in this world is to choose to be a victim. The true Gospel of the one called Jesus Christ was never one of looking for him to save you and redeem the world. His message was one of repentance, or returning to the instructions written upon your innermost being, and no longer being influenced by the world. The “Holy Spirit”, as the church calls it, is actually the Set-apart Influence within each of us, reminding us of who we truly are as autonomous, sovereign, significant beings.
